VoiceCheck™ is THC Technologies Corporation's VoiceVantage™ core voice verification technology. The VoiceCheck™ software Development Kit (SDK) is a combination of advanced mathematics, database interface, and Application Protocol Interface (API). It enables application developers to incorporate VoiceVantage's™ technology into virtually any security application, on multiple platforms.
THC VoiceVantage™ biometric voice verification technology significantly decreases costs, while enhancing security, for many applications on the web, embedded devices, and telephony systems. Through the science of biometrics, which measures people's unique characteristics, VoiceVantage™ provides an cost-effective, accurate, and convenient way to identify individuals. THC VoiceVantage™ technology either "accepts" or "denies" a speaker's claimed identity by comparing a live voice sample to a previously enrolled voiceprint. Since every voiceprint is unique, individuals can use their voice as a password, granting them access to networks, Web sites, and telephony systems.

Enterprise Computing
The recent Identity Fraud Study by Javelin Strategy & Research reveals identity fraud total combined fraud losses climbed to $56 billion, identity fraud scams accounted for $43 billion of that cost. Traditional identity fraud losses totaled $13 billion.
The IRIS 20/20 Report states over 60% of the Fortune 1000 had at least one cyber incident over the last decade. On an annual basis, we estimate one in four Fortune 1000 firms will suffer a loss event. Government agencies, administrative support, information services, and financial firms, have the highest rates. We assess that there is a 6% chance that a Fortune 1000 firm will lose $100M or more in a 12-month period due to cyber events.
Internet
PriceWaterhouseCoopers claims that credit card security accounts for 79% of the barriers to online purchasing.
Embedded Devices
Back in 2021, the number of mobile devices operating worldwide stood at almost 15 billion, up from just over 14 billion in the previous year. The number of mobile devices is expected to reach 18.22 billion by 2025, an increase of 4.2 billion devices compared to 2020 levels.
VoiceCheck™ Reduces Expenses
- Voice Verification can completely eliminate the need for PINs and passwords, and the associated time intensive hassles and costs due to password reset.
- Identifying users via automatic voice verification streamlines the user authentication process. For telephony systems, this greatly reduces the duration of call length and the resources needed to support a Call Center or Help Desk.
- Voice verification significantly reduces fraud in all industries. Voice verification can be implemented to secure the front-end of a system, prohibiting hackers from breaking into telephone networks and proprietary databases, or can control access to specific applications and data.
VoiceCheck™ Tightens Security
- Biometrics provide a higher degree of security than traditional PINs and passwords
- Biometric voice verification technology accurately confirms a person's claimed identity based on the unique features of his or her voice
- Unlike tokens, cards, PINs, and passwords, your voice cannot be shared, stolen, or forgotten
VoiceCheck™ is Convenient and Increases Customer Satisfaction
- Saying your name is as natural as saying, "Hello".
- Identity verification with VoiceCheck™ takes the user less than one 1.4 milliseconds.
- Voice verification enables products and services to be personalized to each unique user, enabling one-to-one marketing and increased revenue for companies.
By creating technology that understands the complexities of the human voice, we have revolutionized the way information resources are accessed, protected, and stored. THC’s VoiceVantage™ VoiceCheck™ technology delivers security and convenience, all by the sound of your voice.
We recognize people rely on convenient ways to stay securely connected to their lives such as; E-Commerce, M-Commerce, Calling Card, Voice Mail, Email, Telephone Banking, Remote Network Access, and Desktop Security. Voice is an exceptional 2-factor authentication.
Convenience
Voice has been ranked as the least intrusive biometric technology.
Cost-Effective
VoiceCheck™ technology works with most existing infrastructures and uses existing communication devices.
Language Independent
VoiceCheck™ captures the voice characteristics necessary for future voiceprint comparison, regardless of the language, gender, or accent of the user.
Multiple Platforms
By using one centralized database of voiceprints for all platforms, you can leverage your investment across many communication channels.
Real-Time Enrollment
The entire enrollment procedure takes less than a minute to complete. Users can securely access your business’ applications immediately.
Low Storage Requirements
For a typical application, which uses an enrollment consisting of multiple renditions of a phrase, the storage requirement is only about 20-30 Kbytes.
Flexible Security Models
VoiceVantage™ software supports "Or," "And," or "Sequential" decision making rules, allowing the application to meet unique security needs. As well, the security threshold can be adjusted and controlled to meet the requirements of enterprise standards and priorities.
Highly Scalable Server Platform
Voice Vantage’s™ software is highly scalable via conventional industry standard relational databases. The technology is currently available in C++ and .NET and Java.
Advanced R&D
VoiceVantage™ is committed to continually advancing voice technology to remain in an industry-leading position. VoiceVantage™ combines the knowledge from dedicated R & D efforts, joint university-based research, and leading speech technologists to create the industry’s most dedicated research program.
VoiceCheck™ Is a Software Development Kit for Every Environment:
The VoiceCheck™ v3.2 SDK provides object-oriented C++, .NET Framework 4.8, .NET Core 8 and Java interfaces. It includes 64-bit builds and sample C++, C# and Java source demonstrating how to make use of the various methods in the SDK.
VoiceCheck™ ODBC
The VoiceCheck™ SDK is now available with SQL Database Persistence via a replacement for the Flat-File version of VC_Database.DLL. Please note the following regarding this new option:
VoiceCheck™ ODBC allows storage of all VoiceCheck™ data in a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). Currently the following RDBMSs are supported:
RDBMS Version Windows Linux Notes Microsoft SQL Server 2019 ✔ ✔ Linux tested using connection to database instance running
on windowsMySQL 8.0.28 ✔ ✔ Windows tested using connection to database instance
running on LinuxOracle 21c ✔ ✔ Linux tested using connection to database instance running
on WindowsPostgreSQL 12.10 ✔ ✔ Windows tested using connection to database instance
running on Windows- VoiceCheck™ ODBC enables scalability by allowing data to be stored in a database of your choice. Tables can coexist with other data in the same application database; or they can be stored in a separate database on the same server, or a different server.
- Multi-threaded/multi-process support is enabled in VoiceCheck™ ODBC.
- The VC_Database and VC_DatabaseUser classes have the same interface for VoiceCheck™ ODBC as for the Flat-File storage option.
- Minimal changes are required in order to provide a database user ID and database user password to the VC_Database instance constructor. Also, instead of supplying a path name as the database name of the VC_Database instance constructor, a ODBC DSN should be used.
- VoiceCheck™ tables are automatically created in the database instance given in the VC_Database instance constructor
VoiceCheck™ for Telephony
Your company's call center costs are out of control. By the looks of it, customer service representatives spend almost all of their time simply verifying a caller's identity. If only you could come up with an innovative and easy way to expedite caller identification and increase agent productivity and reduce costs. You can with VoiceCheck™ Telephony. You can improve security and reduce costs by integrating VoiceCheck™ Telephony into your Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. Just think - your callers can then bank-by-phone or access confidential information simply by saying their name. No more lengthy verification questions. Password reset for network logon and applications will never soak up call center time again. Callers can say their name and a new password is issued. VoiceCheck™ Telephony provides you with peace of mind and lowered call center costs.
